Leinster Regional Skills Academy Kicks Off New Season With First Camp
The first regional camp of the season was hosted at the Sports Ireland Campus last weekend with the Leinster Skills Academy attending their first onshore training camp of the season.
Swimmers from various clubs across the region attended in pool and land based training sessions with the Leinster Coaches and learnt about the holisitic approach to their sport with classroom based nutrition and well being sessions, giving the swimmers skills that will help them excel within their discipline.

Of course the most important part of these camps in the eyes of the swimmers is the socialising aspect, with opportunities for swimmers who ordinarily may not meet and chat, finally getting a chance to forge friendships and share their experiences of their swimming journey.

All in all a great day was had, swimmers left physically tired, yet energetically charged with all the new information they learnt and the training they experienced.
All the adults involved enjoyed meeting both some old and new faces, and can't wait to welcome them back later in the season for further information, education and training.
Thank you to the volunteers, coaches and trained professionals for their time, knowledge and minding of the dedicated swimmers.
